Ce programme vous permettra de découvrir le tissage sur un métier à tisser manuel traditionnel à la fabrique textile Sawai Orimono, située à Hachioji, dans la banlieue de Tokyo. Vous prendrez plaisir à créer des textiles grâce à des techniques de tissage transmises depuis la fondation de l'atelier il y a environ 120 ans. Le terme « tissage Tama-Ori » désigne cinq types de tissus originaires de la région de Tama, à Tokyo, réputée pour sa riche culture textile. Plongez au cœur de l'univers où sont créés ces tissus si particuliers.
