Using our special soles and patterns, you can choose your favorite pattern, sole, and material to create a one-of-a-kind pair of original shoes in just one day! Children are welcome! If you would like to participate with a larger group, we can also hold the workshop at our workshop cafe, located a 5-minute walk from the atelier. Please feel free to contact us. ⚫︎Workshop Flow 1: Choose a pattern. For first-timers: Derby, Macalon, Plain, Open, Hi-Top, Sneaker, Loafers. This applies to loafers only, and is only available to those purchasing two or more pairs. *If you would like to add tassels, an optional fee of ¥4,000 will be charged. 2: Choose a sole. You can choose from three types. Flats/White, sizes 33-45; Platform/White (sizes 35-40); Platform/Black (sizes 35-40). 3: Choose your size. We offer unisex sizes from 22.5cm-29cm in 0.5cm increments. Please refer to the size chart and let us know your desired size in advance. You can try on samples and make changes on the day of the workshop. 4: Choose your material. We offer a variety of materials, including Japanese and Italian leather, embossed, foiled, patent, and printed leathers such as crocodile and ostrich, as well as ponytail, PVC, tweed, ribbon lace, antique kimono obi, and old fabric. 5: Make your shoes. Cut out the pattern. ↓ Place the pattern on the leather and secure it with masking tape. ↓ Use leather scissors to cut the leather along the pattern. ↓ Use thread and a needle to sew the leather and sole together. ↓ Finished! ⚫︎Loper Shoes Design Book Available. We offer an e-book introducing materials and a collection of shoe designs. *The materials available vary depending on the workshop instructor. In the three-part experience, the gold lacquering process is shortened and you can experience the flow of gold lacquering! This plan allows you to experience gold lacquering in three sessions (2 hours for the first session, 2 hours for the second session, and 1 hour for the third session). We will repair chipped pottery using real lacquer, which is rare for an experience. The instructor is a graduate of the University of the Arts who majored in lacquer art and has studied lacquer in earnest.
